Giant Girl Doll

Let's do a video Rorschach test.
How does she make you feel? Sad, scared, stressed, entrapped, freaked out?

Well it's not exactly a Rorschach since it's not an inkblot, but your perception of this image or others may be a projection of your internal state. It's good to take a moment to take inventory of those feelings and to address them appropriately.
If you can't start the video try this link: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-1522158746296131750&q=giant+girl+doll

Thanks for the link! I enjoyed that. I think it is wonderful that so many people can work in concert to bring her to "life". Her movements are very realistic, despite the lines and the bellows(?) in her cheeks.

It seems that you are an optimistic and humane person kenju.
It is interesting that you noted every one working in unison to bring some thing to life. If only we could do that more so in the world arena, rather than cause destruction.

Simultaneously creepy and beautiful, with a hint of sadness thrown in to the mix. I wonder what it would have been like to see it in person.

Hi Dreadstorm

For practical purposes, the Rorschach is deemed as not being so reliable for diagnosis and prognosis becuase the interpertations are not standardized. However, just like any other image, the interpretations of the inkblots may shed some light on the inner world of the viewer.

I thought she was magically beautiful. I felt like I was in another world while watching the video.

the video and music evoked these thoughts and sensations in me...

The crude reality of our physicality is poignant. The beauty and humanity of mankind portrayed by the girl is inseparable from the less gracious features at her joints and cheeks for instance.
It reminds me that we are imperfect machines, ugly at parts, by design.

Her demeanor was innocent and explorative. I liked that.

I'm curious how so many people could be motivated to do something like that! It must be some kind of tradition, or popular story...

Oceanos,

I was moved by your comment.

Padmanabhan

It is said that we project our own feelings on to these things. In other words if we are feeling sad or helpless then we are more likely to see that or recognize that in other people or images.
