My Pyramid Tracker (http://www.mypyramidtracker.gov/default.htm) is a free site from the U.S. Department of Agriculture. It analyzes your food intake and makes recommendations based on the 2005 Dietary Guidelines for Americans. I was testing it to see if I should recommend it to the bloggers when I found out that my pyramid is quite lopsided. The analysis showed that for the last 24 hours my calorie intake was twice as much as my energy expenditure and my grain intake was 273% of the recommended intake. This could make for a very out of shape "pyramid". You may want to check out the link to see how you fare in the world of nutrition. |
These are practical and reliable responses to FAQ's from Googlers. For every person who asks a question there are several others who have the same concern. I hope that this post will take out some of the guess work for living a healthier life. Please note the obligatory disclaimer that this is not a substitute for medical advice, and that you need to contact your doctors with any specific questions. I wish you good health.

Heh.
I entered my standard breakfast which now that fall is here has unsweetened frozen berries with whole grain cereal. The serving size for berries is 1 cup, so I put in .125 for my one ounce serving and KA-BOOM!
Looks like instead of using solid open-source tools (like oh say the Google Ajax libraries), Oure Governmente uses .NET, which has a hard time parsing variant inputs.
