Product Recall -- Good News/ Bad News

The recall on spinach has been lifted, but there are 2 new recalls.

The FDA has warned consumers not to drink Bolthouse Farms carrot juice with "best if used by" dates of November 11, 2006. There have been 4 cases of botulism linked to this product. The carrot juice is carried under the labels "Bolthouse Farms 100% Carrot Juice," "Earthbound Farm Organic Carrot Juice," and "President's Choice Organics 100% Pure Carrot Juice. They are distributed in all 50 states, Mexico, Canada, and Hong Kong. Foxy green leaf lettuce has been recalled by the company due to concerns that the irrigation water may have been contaminated with E. coli according to Tom Nunes Jr., president of the company. No one has become ill from this product. The recall covers green leaf lettuce purchased in grocery stores Oct. 3-6 in Arizona, California, Nevada, Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Montana.
