"Long Weekend" Supplements Recalled

Long Weekend, Confidence, Inc, a dietary supplement, is being recalled after the FDA found tadalafil in product samples.

Tadalafil is also known as Cialis (Eli Lilly and Company). It is approved for the treatment of erectile dysfunction (ED). However, it should not be used in combination with nitrate containing medications which are often used for heart disease or high blood pressure. Unintentional consumption of tadalafil by patients receiving nitrates may cause potentially dangerous hypotension which may lead to a stroke or heart attack.

The product was sold through mail order and at retailers located in the United States, Puerto Rico, Canada, the United Kingdom, Russia, and China, and marketed as 3-capsule boxes under the American Best Nutrition label (UPC 809515-0542).

Adverse reactions related to the use of this product should be reported to the FDA's MedWatch reporting program, by phone at 1-800-FDA-1088, by fax at 1-800-FDA-0178, online at http://www.fda.gov/medwatch, or by mail to 5600 Fishers Lane, Rockville, MD 20852-9787. This information can also be communicated to the company by calling 1-800-347-5005.
